Glorkian T-shirt

Monday, January 28th, 2008

I designed a Glorkian Warrior t-shirt for the Glorkian Warrior videogame that I hope to make someday. Maybe if the t-shirt becomes superpopular someone will want to help me make the actual game or the board game.

Update: This other guy drew a comic about my t-shirt.

Fancy Comics

Monday, January 21st, 2008

The other day I had a dream about my Fancy Froglin character, and drew a strip about it.

So… it seems like a good time to revive his comic series. Starting today, I’ll be running Fancy Froglin’s Dripping Wet Fun Time Spring Adventure. There will be a new strip every day for about 47 days. The most recent Fancy Froglin strip will always be free, but only American Elf subscribers can access the archives.

This adventure is not available in any book. It originally ran on moderntales.com long ago, but I’ve re-written it and changed some of the art and given it an ending (which it never had before. Previously I just gave up when I wrote myself into a corner.) I hope you enjoy it.

For those of you who have no idea who Fancy is, he’s a frog with an erection. I just made the first half of his first adventure (Fancy Froglin’s Sexy Forest) a “free sample“, so check it out.

Hockey Monkey in Greek

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

This is one of the most beautiful, joyous renditions of one of my most popular songs. This girl is singing Hockey Monkey in Greek, making it up as she goes along.

Says one of my greek readers: “She doesn’t try to rhyme the lyrics, just translating on the fly. She changes a few words, for example she says “parents/police running like crazy” “children in the park” “WE are having a good time”. They are laughing because she’s singing the translated “hockey stick” words very very fast to fit in the verse (in greek that’s many syllables).”

I don’t think she knows it’s a James Kochalka Superstar song because it’s credited to The Zambonis (who I recorded the song with) and Ookla the Mok (who covered it on one of their albums).
