Magic Boy figure

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

I’ll be at the San Diego Comic Con this week, where we’ll be premiering the new Magic Boy figure, sculpted and painted by Scott & Anne
Wilkowski.  However, they were only able to complete six units in time for the show so they might go fast.    They sell for $60.00 a pop, and should eventually be available for mailorder if you miss your chance to get one at San Diego.

Robin and the Brain Cult

Monday, July 7th, 2008

This comic strip was a dream.  I didn’t see any need to announce “this is a dream comic” or anything like that in the comic itself.  I figured that the little description at the bottom should clue people in that it was a dream, and of course in the dream itself everything was very real.  Horrifyingly real.  In fact this was one of the most horrible dreams I ever had, despite what in my waking hours seems like a comically ridiculous element:  I was not myself, but Batman’s side-kick Robin.  And there’s hardly anything more ridiculous than Robin.

Anyhow, this was the tail end of a fairly epic dream.  I’d love to write a full length Robin adventure about his battle against the Brain Cult.  Probably he would go insane and end up getting sucked into the cult’s brain lust depravity.  Could he somehow save his soul and return to sanity?  It would be the greatest Robin comic of all time.
